Actor KC files case against Samragyee seeking Rs.100 million compensation

The dispute between actor Bhuwan KC and actress Samragyee RL Shah has reached the court.

Actor KC filed a case against actress Shah at the Kathmandu District Court (KDC) on Friday.

Actor KC filed a defamation suit against Samragyee claiming compensation amounting to Rs. 100 million. In the law suit, KC claimed that actress Shah gave a defamatory statement in the social media against him that he sexually harassed her and mistreated her during the shooting of Shah’s debut film “Dreams”.

In the lawsuit, KC claimed that Shah’s allegation against actor KC was defamatory and it hurt the dignity of KC, said Karki.

A war of words had been going on between actor KC and actress Shah on social media for some time.

After actress Shah posted a video on the social media claiming that some big banners had mistreated her while working, but she hadn’t mentioned anyone’s name.

In response to her allegations, KC wrote on the social media, “You have made a hole in the same plate you have eaten.”

After his statement, actress Shah came up with another video whereas she alleged that actor KC tried to sexually assault her at an awards ceremony held in Japan.

After a series of verbal war between the actors, KC had also filed a complaint letter to the Film Artistes Association of Nepal as well.

The case which looked silent for some time suddenly came to limelight after actor KC filed a case against actress seeking a high compensation.
