Kathmandu, October 22: Two people, including a Nepali national, were killed in a drone attack targeting an oil processing facility operated by Saudi Aramco in southeastern Saudi Arabia.

The Nepali and Filipino nationals died when debris from a drone fell in the Shaybah oil field, located near the border with the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Indian and Pakistani nationals were injured in the incident.

According to Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy, falling drone debris caused a vehicle belonging to a contractor working in the oil field to catch fire. Two people were killed and two others injured in the incident.

The ministry confirmed that a drone attack had occurred in the oil field but did not disclose which group was involved or identify the party responsible for the attack.
