Kathmandu, September 30: The Supreme Court has ordered the authorities to submit within 48 hours the reasons for the arrest of Durga Prasai.
A bench of Supreme Court Justice Hari Phuyal issued the order today, directing the authorities to present the reasons for Prasai’s arrest within 48 hours.
The Nepal Police’s Cyber Bureau arrested Prasai on Monday morning. He was arrested following a complaint filed by Rachana Khatiwada, a lawmaker from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). Khatiwada had filed the complaint with the Cyber Bureau, alleging that Prasai and others had made derogatory remarks about her.
