Army-built Acrow Bailey bridge in Betrawati becomes operational

Kathmandu, Oct 11: An Acrow Bailey bridge has opened over Phalaku Khola in Betrawati to ease road travel disrupted by the devastating August 26, 2026 (Bhadra 10, 2083 BS) flood in Rasuwa’s Bhotekoshi area.

The Nepali Army inaugurated the bridge at a ceremony today. Construction was completed 45 days after the flood.

The bridge is expected to restore easier road access and provide relief to local residents, passengers and motorists using the route.

The August 26 (Bhadra 10) flood damaged roads and bridges, disrupting transport services in the area. The new bridge is expected to help ease travel.
