Kathmandu, October 10: The Ministry of Home Affairs has directed that security personnel deployed to protect various individuals and organizations in violation of established procedures be returned to their respective offices within seven days.
In a notice issued on Friday by Ministry spokesperson Anand Kafle, the ministry instructed that security personnel must not be used for household chores or personal errands.
The ministry said officials or office-bearers who deploy security personnel in violation of the directive would face action. It also urged the public to file complaints through the ministry’s call centre at 9851360603 if security personnel are found to have been used for personal purposes in violation of the law.
