Kathmandu, Oct 10: Home Ministry spokesperson Ananda Kafle said in a statement that Dahal’s dismissal took effect immediately.
According to ministry sources, investigators found that Dahal had been in contact with Inam Sapkota of Jhapa, who is currently under investigation by the Department of Money Laundering Investigation.
The investigation found that Dahal had allegedly shared information with Sapkota through WhatsApp about the movements of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, popularly known as Balen.
The Home Ministry said Dahal’s dismissal was based on the findings and recommendations of the investigation committee formed to examine the allegations against him.
