Kathmandu, October 8: The voting time for the 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress has been postponed again. Voting will begin at 7 a.m. on Friday.
According to Raju Katuwal, member-secretary of the Nepali Congress Central Election Committee, the voting schedule was postponed due to some technical problems and incomplete preparations.
This is the fourth time the voting schedule has been changed. The election schedule had initially set Wednesday as the voting day. After the deadline for withdrawal of candidacies was extended, voting was rescheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday.
However, citing incomplete preparations, the Election Committee subsequently postponed the voting to 1 p.m. and then to 2 p.m. Thursday. Voting could not begin even at 2 p.m.
According to the Election Committee, voting will now begin at 7 a.m. Friday due to delays in printing the ballot papers.
