Kathmandu, Sept 23: Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal met Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar in New York on Wednesday on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Khanal thanked the Indian government and people for their solidarity and prompt assistance following the recent devastating floods in Nepal.
The two ministers discussed various aspects of Nepal–India relations and matters of mutual interest. They also stressed the need to strengthen the longstanding friendship between the two countries and advance bilateral cooperation.
