Kathmandu, Sept 19: President Ramchandra Paudel has said full adherence to the Constitution and an accountable administration are needed today.
In a message marking Constitution Day, Paudel called for full compliance with constitutional provisions to ensure a strong, civilised and accountable administration.
“We must guarantee the rule of law for all citizens. A shared consensus among all Nepalis is also needed to protect and institutionalise the opportunities and achievements secured through the Constitution and move towards good governance and prosperity,” he said.
The president said full implementation of the Constitution must become a national commitment. He also stressed the need to ensure equal access for all citizens to the services and benefits guaranteed by the Constitution.
“May this day inspire us all to unite to fulfil our aspirations for lasting peace, good governance, development and prosperity through the federal democratic republican system of government,” he said.
