Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala’s yet unannounced and much postponed official visit to India continue to be the focus of speculation here.
Having been unable to meet his Indian counterpart at the aborted summit of South Asian nations in Colombo at Indian prompting Prime Minister Girija is likely to be yet unprepared to face Indian demands when he does get to meet Indian Prime Minister P.V Narasimha Rao in New Delhi.
Speculated to take place around January now, the Girija visit is likely to prove opportune to seek Nepali concession in matters of water resource cooperation and defense strategy.
