
Kathmandu, September 3: The government has decided to declare a public holiday on Monday, September 7.
The decision was taken by the Cabinet meeting held today.
Government spokesperson Sasmita Pokhrel said that September 7 would be observed as a day of national mourning on the 13th day of the death of those who lost their lives in the Rasuwa floods, and a public holiday would be declared on September 8.
During the national mourning, the national flag will be flown at half-mast at government offices, as well as at Nepali embassies and diplomatic missions abroad, spokesperson Pokhrel said.
