Trishuli water level rises after Rasuwa flooding, Narayani areas put on alert

Kathmandu, Aug 30: The water level in the Trishuli River has risen following fresh flooding in the Bhotekoshi area of Rasuwa, prompting authorities to warn communities along the Narayani river system to stay alert.

The Flood Forecasting Division said the Trishuli’s water level at the monitoring station in Galchhi, Dhading, had increased by around three metres by 7 am Sunday.

The division also cautioned that water levels in the Narayani River and its tributaries could rise further after heavy rainfall was recorded in several parts of Gandaki Province.

Residents living along the Narayani and its tributaries have been advised to remain vigilant, particularly those close to riverbanks and other vulnerable areas.
