Kathmandu, August 30: Traffic that had been halted on the Prithivi Highway highway has resumed following information that the Bhote Koshi River had flooded again.

Earlier in the morning, all vehicular movement to and from Pokhara and Kathmandu via Narayangadh and Muglin was halted after reports that the water level in the Bhote Koshi River had risen.

Chitwan Police said traffic was resumed after receiving information that the river’s flow was no longer at a dangerous level.

Although traffic has resumed, the risk of floods and landslides has not yet subsided, and the administration has urged the general public to remain highly alert.

People have been urged not to stop at risky locations while travelling, to fully comply with instructions issued by the concerned authorities and security personnel, and to make their own safety and that of their families their top priority.
