Kathmandu, Aug 26: The massive flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa is rapidly moving downstream through the Trishuli River. In its latest update issued at 10:51 am Wednesday, the Flood Forecasting Division said the flood had reached around Galchhi in Dhading and was expected to cross Mugling within the next few hours.
As the flood level continues to rise, the division has urged authorities to evacuate all settlements and market areas along the Trishuli River, including those along the Prithvi Highway and Mugling Narayangadh Highway.
The division has appealed to residents in riverside areas to move to safe locations immediately.
“Evacuate settlements and market areas along the Trishuli River and stay in safe places with heightened alertness,” it said.
As the flood moves toward Mugling, areas in and around the town face a high risk of flooding.
