
Kathmandu, Aug 23: The Nepal government and the Rashtra, Rashtriyata, Dharma, Sanskriti ra Nagarik Bachau Maha Abhiyan, led by Durga Prasai, have reached a 14-point agreement.
The agreement was reached between the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers and the Maha Abhiyan following talks held on Saturday.
The agreement was signed by Liladhar Subedi, joint secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, on behalf of the government, and Bishnu Bohara Chhetri on behalf of the Prasai led group.
Following the agreement, the Maha Abhiyan has decided to end all sit ins and protest programs it had been organizing, effective Saturday.
Both sides said the agreement was signed after intensive discussions between representatives of the Maha Abhiyan staging a sit in at Pulchowk, Lalitpur, and the dialogue team formed by the government.
