
Kathmandu, Aug 18: Prime Minister Balen Shah and Indian Army Chief General Dhiraj Seth have begun a meeting.
The two are holding talks at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. General Seth arrived in Kathmandu on August 16 at the invitation of Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel.
Seth had a busy schedule on Monday. In the morning, he laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Memorial at Tundikhel. He then received a guard of honour at the Nepali Army Headquarters, where he was formally welcomed.
Seth subsequently held a courtesy meeting with Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel. He then planted a tree at the army headquarters.
Later, at another ceremony at the headquarters, Seth handed over military and medical supplies to the Nepali Army.
Following his engagements at the army headquarters, Seth visited Sheetal Niwas as scheduled. President Ramchandra Paudel conferred on him the honorary rank of General of the Nepali Army.
