Kathmandu, August 16: After seven hour long efforts to clean landslide along the Prithivi Highway, the road has come into operation. Five heavy equipment were used to clear the road after a dry landslide, along with trees, fell from above and blocked the roadway.
The Chitwan District Police said the road was reopened for two-way traffic at around 6:15 a.m. after the landslide was cleared.
Although the road has been reopened, traffic jams remain at various points along the highway as the road had been blocked for a long period.
