Kathmandu, August 15: UML Chairman K.P. Sharma Oli has arrived in his home district of Jhapa. Oli reached Jhapa by air from Kathmandu on Saturday afternoon.
According to UML sources, he has gone to his home district to participate in the “Mission Party Awakening” program. The program in which Oli will participate is scheduled for Sunday. However, he arrived in Jhapa a day ahead of the event.
Oli received a grand welcome from local party leaders and cadres upon his arrival at Bhadrapur Airport in Jhapa.
This is Oli’s first visit to Jhapa since the March 5 election. He was defeated in Jhapa-5 by Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) senior leader Balendra Shah (Balen).
