Kathmandu, April 29: Ashish Shrestha, chairman of Nepal Micro Insurance, has been arrested.
He was apprehended by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police.
According to police, the 46-year-old Shrestha was arrested from Kageshwori Manohara-5 in Kathmandu during an investigation on charges of violating the Insurance Act, 2079 (2022). The CIB stated that he was taken into custody with court approval, based on a letter from the Insurance Authority.
