Kathmandu, April 3: The nomination process for the election of the Speaker of the House of Representatives is scheduled for Friday (April 3). According to the timetable published by the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the election will take place on Sunday (April 5).
Nominations can be filed between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm at the Federal Parliament Secretariat in Singha Durbar. The final list of candidates will be published at 2:30 pm the same day.
The Rastriya Swatantra Party, which holds 182 seats in the House, has already decided to nominate its vice-chair, Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal, for the position of Speaker. Other parties, currently in the minority, have yet to announce their candidates.
