Home Minister Gurung inspects TIA

Kathmandu, April 3: Home Minister Sudan Gurung visited Tribhuvan International Airport on Thursday evening to conduct an on-site inspection following repeated complaints from the public.

Passengers had frequently reported difficulties at the airport, prompting the minister to lead a team to assess the situation firsthand. During the inspection, he instructed airport staff to ensure that travelers face no unnecessary hassles while accessing services.

He emphasised that returning citizens, already fatigued from long journeys abroad, should not encounter further inconvenience at the airport. Minister Gurung also cautioned staff to prevent such complaints from recurring.

In addition, he directed that routine checks of personal clothing and belongings be carried out efficiently, without causing unnecessary delays or discomfort to passengers.
