Badal’s remarks in Parliament against UML policy: Paudel

Kathmandu, April 3: Bishnu Paudel, Vice Chair of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist), has said that remarks made by parliamentary party leader Ram Bahadur Thapa in Thursday’s House of Representatives meeting went against the party’s policy and principles.

Thapa spoke on behalf of the party during the meeting. He also serves as the leader of the UML parliamentary party.

“Views expressed by Rt. Hon. Ram Bahadur Thapa, in the first House meeting on Thursday, in his capacity as UML parliamentary party leader, is against the party’s established policy and principles,” Paudel wrote on Facebook.

He also said he expects the matter to be discussed seriously in the party’s Central Secretariat meeting scheduled for Friday.

“I expect that this issue will be discussed seriously and an appropriate decision will be taken at the UML Central Secretariat meeting scheduled for tomorrow,” Paudel wrote.
