Kathmandu, March 25: President Ram Chandra Paudel is scheduled to administer the oath of office and secrecy to the senior-most member elected to the House of Representatives, Arjun Narsingh KC.
The oath-taking ceremony is set for 11:15 am on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the President’s Office in Shital Niwas. Among the members elected in the House of Representatives election held on March 5, 2026, KC is the senior-most member.
In the House of Representatives election, 165 members were elected through the first past the post system, while 110 members were elected through the proportional representation system. Nepali Congress leader KC was elected through the proportional representation system.
Senior member KC is also scheduled to administer the oath of office and secrecy to the newly elected members of the House of Representatives on March 26, 2026.
