Kathmandu, March 23: Arjun Narsingh KC, the senior-most member of the House of Representatives, is set to take the oath of office and secrecy from President Ram Chandra Paudel.
The Office of the President said the ceremony will take place at 11:15 AM on Wednesday at Sheetal Niwas.
KC will lead House proceedings as acting Speaker until a new Speaker is elected. The 78-year old lawmaker, elected under the proportional representation system from the Nepali Congress in the March 5 elections, will also administer the oath to 274 other HoR members at the Federal Parliament Building on March 26.
