Kathmandu, March 21: The Meteorological Forecasting Division reported that moderate rainfall and snowfall, along with thunder and lightning, have already been recorded in some parts of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as in a few scattered areas across the country.
Weather activity is expected to pick up pace this afternoon as clouds spread nationwide. Several areas in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki are likely to experience moderate rain or snowfall, accompanied by thunder, lightning, hail and gusty winds. Similar conditions may also affect a few places in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim.
Cloudy skies will remain in the evening, though rainfall is likely to weaken. Light rain or snowfall, along with thunder and lightning, may still occur in some mountainous areas of Koshi and in isolated hilly regions elsewhere, the division added.
