Qatar Airways resumes Doha–Kathmandu flights amid Middle East tension

Kathmandu, March 15: Qatar Airways has scheduled Doha–Kathmandu flights despite rising tensions in the Middle East that have affected international air travel.

According to the airline’s announced schedule, flights from Doha to Kathmandu will operate on March 16 and 17. Return flights from Kathmandu to Doha are scheduled for March 17 and 18.

Passengers traveling from Nepal to Qatar or those using Doha as a transit point for other destinations will be able to use these flights.

Along with Kathmandu, the airline has also scheduled special flights to several international destinations including New Delhi, Mumbai, Dhaka, Bangkok, Istanbul, London, and Paris.

Air travel in the region has been affected as several countries have adopted precautionary measures due to growing tensions. Some flights have been canceled or rerouted.

In this situation, the continuation of the Doha–Kathmandu air link is seen as a positive sign for travelers.

Doha is one of the world’s major transit hubs. Many passengers traveling to and from Nepal pass through Hamad International Airport.

The route is particularly important for Nepali migrant workers in the Middle East, returning travelers, and students heading abroad.

Maintaining this flight schedule is expected to help passengers plan their travel more easily.

The airline has advised passengers to check the latest updates on their flights through its official website, mobile app, or travel agencies, as schedules may change depending on the security situation and airspace conditions.
