Kathmandu, May 20: The cabinet meeting held today appointed Bishwa Paudel as the governor, as informed by the government’s spokesperson, Prithvi Subba Gurung.
The Governor Recommendation Committee had recommended three names for the Governor position. The recommended candidates for the Governor were Dr Bishwo Poudel, Dr Neelam Dungana, and former Secretary Dinesh Bhattarai.
It was almost confirmed that Poudel was going to be appointed the new governor as he was the choice of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba.
On the basis of Bhagbanda between NC and UML, the appointment has been made.
