Global IME Bank observes its 18th anniversary

Kathmandu, December 31: Global IME Bank Limited organized nationwide morning walkathon programs on the occasion of its 18th anniversary on Monday, December 30.
As part of its institutional social responsibility, the bank has organized morning walkathon programs in major cities across all seven provinces to enhance financial literacy and banking awareness among the general public. On January 1, the Global IME Bank will complete its 18th year since its establishment and enter its 19th year.
The walkathon held in Kathmandu was attended by Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Chairman of Global IME Bank, members of the bank’s board of directors, senior management of the bank, and over 1,500 employees. Employees present at the morning walkathon, holding educational placards and banners on financial literacy and banking, walked from the bank’s branch office in Kantipath, Kathmandu, and circled the main parts of the city, as well as major cities outside the Kathmandu Valley.
The bank has been directly benefiting the general public through such socially beneficial activities, keeping its institutional social responsibility in mind. Global IME Bank is recognized as the best bank in Nepal in two categories under the Global Finance Best Bank Award 2024 and the EuroMoney Awards for Excellence 2024. In addition, Global IME Bank has been honored in various categories by different national and international organizations.
