Kathmandu, August 13: A team of election commissioners led by chief election commissioner Dineshkumar Thapaliya met with Prime Minister K.P. Oli on Monday.
The meeting was focused on holding by-elections for the vacant posts at the local levels. The Election Commission has suggested that the PM hold by-elections in December of this year.
34 posts are vacant at different local levels and by-elections should be conducted to elect the new representatives.
