Bangladesh incident a product of international conflict and geopolitics: Narayankaji Śrēṣṭha

Kathmandu, August 12: Narayankaji Shrestha, senior vice president of the Maoist Center, said that the latest developments in Bangladesh are not limited to domestic events. Shrestha, who is also a former foreign minister, said on social networks that international conflicts and geopolitics have played a significant role in the developments in Bangladesh.

Shrestha said that it would be premature to conclude all aspects of the events that took place in Bangladesh. He has written, “So far, what has become clear from the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s own statements, is that the incident in Bangladesh is not limited to domestic incidents. International conflicts and geopolitics have a significant role in this”.

He also said that the Hindu minority in Bangladesh is badly mistreated. He has mentioned the claim that the aspect of such reprehensible extremism has been exposed. “This is a very serious aspect. Narayankaji said, “Otherwise, we cannot ignore the danger that foreign interference and religious extremist conflict can have a very negative and damaging effect everywhere in one form or another.”

“National unity is maintained with the support of the people through the loyalty and work of the government towards the country and the people. It does not give room for external or extremist forces to play a negative role and can even defeat them”, he wrote on social networks.
