SC confirms ex-minister Joshi guilty of corruption

Kathmandu, July 28: The Supreme Court gave a verdict against ex-minister Govindaraj Joshi on Sunday being guilty of corruption.

The SC bench of justices Binod Sharma and Balkrishna Dhakal, by approving the verdict of the Special Court, gave the verdict for being guilty of corruption.

The SC has announced a jail term of nine months and a cash punishment worth Rs 69 lakhs and 15 thousand against Joshi.

The Commission for Investigation on Abuse of Authority (CIAA) in 2060, had filed a case at the special court alleging him for earning huge property illegally.
