NC’s work performance committee decides to formulate criteria for selection of ministers

Kathmandu, July 14: The Central Work Performance Committee of the Nepali Congress (NC) has decided to formulate criteria for selecting ministers to be sent to the new government. A meeting of the party’s central work performance committee chaired by party president Sher Bahadur Deuba at the party’s central office in Sanepa on Saturday decided to formulate criteria for the selection of ministers, party spokesperson Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat told media persons. He said that the criteria for selection of ministers would be determined on the basis of geographical, provincial and inclusive balance, merit and contribution.

The NC is doing homework on who will be given the responsibility of which ministry. Preparations are underway for the swearing-in ceremony of the prime minister as well as the swearing-in of the ministers.

The meeting also formally decided to join the next government, party spokesperson Dr Mahat said.
