Kathmandu, July 11: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has cut off the power of three industries after delaying paying the electricity dues. The authority has cut off the power to the Reliance Spanning Mills, Arghakhanchi Cement and Ghorahi Cement as they have not come to pay the dues of the dedicated feeder and trunk line.
Reliance has to pay 629 million rupees worth of dues, Ghorahi 468 million and Arghakhanchi Cement 358 million rupees worth of dues. The Authority has sent a bill with 25 percent penalty to these industries.
The Authority has sent bills to the industries to collect the dues from Baisakh 2072 to Baisakh 2075 BS. More than 6 billion dues are yet to be paid by the industries.
The authority has said it will gradually cut off the lines of industries that have yet to pay dues.
