Unity Center split now out in the open

Unity, disunity in the Unity Center, created in a merger of four splinter leaftist groups three years ago, has broken the party into two halves though neither of the factions has yet formally announced the split.

The ideological division in the Unity Center and all grassroots units came following the party’s disciplinary action against Nirmal Lama, who now leads one of the two camps, for dissent in the party’s mainstream ideology about a year ago.

Taking about what is keeping both the factions tightlipped about the split, one of the victims of the party disciplinary action, who requested anonymity, said, “They are silent simply because neither of them wants to take the blame for breaking up the party”.
