
Kathmandu, July 6: Chief Minister of the Madhes Province, Satish Kumar Singh, has won the vote of confidence today. The government led by Chief Minister Singh won the vote of confidence from the Madhes State Assembly with the support of the NC and UML.
According to the Constitution of Nepal, if a party is split or one of the parties supporting the government withdraws support, then a vote of confidence has to be taken within 30 days. Chief Minister Singh had taken a vote of confidence by changing the cabinet after the CPN-UML and the Nepali Congress agreed to form the government in the federation.
Chief Minister Singh bagged votes from the NC, UML, LSP and Nagarik Unmukti Party. Singha belongs to the Janamt Party led by C.K. Raut.
