BABBLES

The Nepal Law Society, headed by former chief justice, Kalyan Shrestha, is running with the funding of the Western INGO. Shrestha is known to be the Supreme Court chief justice who introduced INGOs in the court.
The government has recommended Shrestha’s confidant, Krishnaman Pradhan, as the election commissioner. How INGOs are expanding their wings in different constitutional organs, it could be an example.
Bargaining for SEBON chair
For the last six months, the post of the executive chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has remained vacant. It is said that bargaining is on for the appointment. Finance Minister Barshaman Pun is keeping mum on the issue, whereas, the UML is also eying on the post. After all, the delayed appointment of the executive chairman is due to the commission bargaining and some candidates have even offered 15 billion rupees, according to the Sanghu vernacular weekly.
When Dr Baburam Bhattarai speaks
These days, Dr Baburam Bhattarai, chairman, Nepal Samajwadi Party, is busy clarifying that he is not an Indian agent, but nobody is ready to trust him.
Bhattarai was the chair of the constitution drafting committee, now, he is saying that the constitution is not functioning and there is a need to amend it. Moreover, he is talking about directly elected executive chief of the country for a permanent solution to the present problem.
Our patriotic leader, chair of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Rajendra Lingden, is also following the Baburam path but how much exercise has been done, we cannot say.
In Nepal-like countries, where foreigners are engaged in micromanagement, the election can be manipulated in foreigners’ interests. What if a foreign agent is elected to the post of the executive chief of the country, have we even thought about the consequences?
No doubt, this agenda of the directly elected executive chief is also planted by foreigners.
Nepal Army on the target
There is a section of political leaders and academicians who want the disposal of the oldest institution of the Nepal Army. Although, we are not satisfied with the role of the Nepal Army in protecting national sovereignty, dignity and political stability in the country, yet, we believe, the Army is essential. Even if there is no war-like situation and even if the Nepal Army may not fight a war, viewing the geopolitical location of the country, we need a strong Army. Besides, the force’s contribution during natural calamities should not be undermined.
The Nepal Army has contributed to the nation in the education and health sectors by spending its Ex-Army Welfare Fund. In fact, if the Army didn’t run hospitals and schools, the government had to bear the burden of the Army personnel and their families’ health and education. This contribution cannot be undermined.
When the Nepal Army wanted to run the Hetauda Textile Industry, the government faced strong pressure for not involving the Army in business. The Defence Minister informed the House about the foreign pressure. In fact, viewing the government’s revenue shortage, the Army should be allowed to run such sick industries to substitute imports. In the USA and our neighbouring countries also, the national army is running different industries, in this context, the Nepal Army should be allowed to use its funds under the Ex-Army Welfare Fund for the industrialization of the country. Yes, the Army should also do business in Nepal-like countries.
QUOTES OF THE WEEK
Rotten system from root to tip! Still excellent! Rama! Rama!
Dipak Gyawali
Ejaculation continues in every element of the nation, including politics. If there is no significant improvement, the country may not be livable. The existence of the nation is in danger. It’s not a disappointment, it’s a reality.
Surya Raj Acharya
I was reading the history of the road. During the year 2023 BS, 114 km long Kodari highway was built in 2 years. Having a low technology and more use of household tools, it was not possible to complete such work in 2 years.
Let’s look at the current state! Panchas are not laughing at us without any reason.
Ranjit Tamang
Prachanda feels awesome by looking at his own appearance.
Madhukar Khanal
If carried out a strict and impartial investigation, many corruption scandals, dual citizenship, money laundering and passports of most of the leaders will be uncovered.
Babu Lal Bhandar
The report of the government investigation committee has confirmed that the land bought by Patanjali Yogpeeth and Ayurveda Company Nepal, run by Indian yoga guru Ramdev, under the facility granted for industrial purposes, has been embezzled. Now, the report has disappeared.

Instability will continue until a system to retain those ambassadors who are capable and can be recalled only after evaluating their works based on objective indicators, regardless of whether they are ambassadors appointed by the government of any political party by introducing a law on the appointment of ambassadors.
Yagya Hamal
The names proposed by the government after recalling the ambassadors only confirm narrow-mindedness and prejudice. The mentality reflects that yesterday, your workers got an abroad job, now, it is our turn.
It shows a lack of diplomatic dignity, ability and trustworthiness.
Dambar Khatiwada
When we spoke Nepali in New York, someone heard and asked us, “Are you here winning a lottery?”
I said “yes”! When I told my name upon his another question, he put forward another question, “Aren’t you the ambassador?”
“Why did you say you won the lottery?”, he questioned again.
I said, “Will one be an ambassador without winning a lottery?”
Madhu Raman Acharya
If you join the government service and get retirement, you will have the readiness to serve the country and the hustle and bustle.
During the service period, they wait for a sunset and spend time buttering the leaders.
Dipak Paudel
If the monarchists are not ready to join together, they will be finished after the 2027 elections. It is necessary to break the present political syndicate to find an alternative to the Congress and the Communists, for which it is necessary for those carrying the monarchist agenda to wear one umbrella. If they cannot unite by giving up pressure and influence, history will put them under the mud-hood.
Shambhu Chouhan
People are not bad, our policies are bad. We are not bad service receivers, bad are the service providers. The government cannot create an environment for the people to do their work themselves. When hope dies, youths begin to disappear and airports and checkpoints become crowded.
Shambhu Dhungana
How will this country develop from the party sharing in the appointment of judges, sharing in the appointment of constitutional bodies, sharing in the appointment of campus chiefs, sharing in the appointment of ambassadors, etc?
Omkumar Thapa
Being a civil servant for decades, who has not done anything remarkable, it is useless to assign the very people to the ambassadorial position sending them to foreign junket. Maybe, there are no capable people in the Maoist Center but the NC and UML are also unable to select capable personalities.
Kosmos Biswokarma
I didn’t see any of the appointees who could be the ambassadors representing the country but representing the political party.
Dwarika Nath Dhungana
Understandably, they chose to be the ‘Jhole Ambassadors’ who have a position/introduction but no respect. But I couldn’t understand why they would go after fraud/corrupt people to be ‘Jole ambassadors’ even if they have little respect. In addition, the possibility of being called back any day tomorrow in a humiliating manner is in its place.
Rabindra Mishra
When the ‘Jholes’ associated with the political parties will go to the place where they should be committed to the competence, ability and national interest and be honest Nepalese ambassadors. Is this the correct representation of this country? It has been a long time since the right decisions have not been made by the rulers.
