Kathmandu, June 23: Defense Minister Hari Prasad Upreti said that the Nepali Army’s plan to run the Hetaunda Textile Industry has been stopped due to the opposition of foreigners. Defense Minister Upreti made this comment while answering the questions raised on the Ministry’s budget in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Sunday.
The parliamentarians asked about the issue of the army being involved in business, in response, he said that the matter of using the money in the military welfare fund should not be understood as a business transaction.
