Anti-PM campaign acquires new strengthen

The anti-Koirala campaign has acquired new strength with the rebel Congress legislators saying Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala must now resign on health grounds as his fainting twice in public has proved his being in poor health and that a physically unfit prime minister should not be allowed to run the government. Now even if Koirala supporters themselves have been divided over his resignation issue with one camp saying that the premier should resign because he is not in good health and the other maintaining that he should not resign at a time when a number of charges are levelled against him. Amid this, NG president Bhattaral, with whom the party entrusted the onus of finding a solution to the party crisis, has sought the opinion of almost all the NC parliamentarians. But the rebel Congress MPs don’t believe Bhattarai would be able to iron out a solution on the basis of these compiled opinions as pro-Girija MPs are in the majority in the House whose opinion cannot, in any case, be against the prime minister.
