Kathmandu, June 2: In the month of May alone, 90 thousand foreign tourists have entered Nepal. According to statistics released by the Nepal Tourism Board on Sunday citing the Immigration Department, a total of 90,211 foreign tourists entered Nepal in May.
According to the report, 38 thousand 288 tourists have entered Nepal from India this month. This is a share of 42.44 percent of the total arrival. 8 thousand 381 tourists have entered Nepal from China. This is 9.29 percent of the total arrival.
43 thousand 803 tourists came from SAARC countries, 14 thousand 425 people came from other South Asian countries, 11 thousand 214 people came from European countries, 2 thousand 514 people came from maritime countries and 9 thousand 542 people came from American countries.
According to the department, 7,783 tourists arrived from Middle Eastern countries like Israel, Turkey and other countries entered Nepal during this period.
