There’s been a debate since a very early phase of time that this profession is good for women and that profession is not good for women. In fact, it has been kept in such a way that in the very beginning of human civilization, household works were meant to be women’s responsibility and official, out-of-home work should be done by men, as men were considered to be the breadwinner of every family. But how can women figure out; which profession is best for them in this patriarchal society?
Taking it in simple terms, we can say women can do anything that interests them, leaving any social boundaries; which think that they should do what their family/society allows/expects to do them only. As the choice of the work totally depends upon their skill and interests, their type of work should not be categorized as women or men. There is so much evidence that a woman can do everything that a man can do. The breaking of stereotype expectations of society and opting for the job that most women don’t want to do or don’t like to do should be done sometimes. Looking at the start of human civilization, only men used to work but some women broke the glass ceiling and opened new worlds where women could work in all of the fields that men work. Similarly, we should also keep challenging ourselves and the social norms to do something new, so that we can build a better world for the new generation. It’s a bitter truth of today’s world that we still live in a society where rules are different for men and women even if she is working. People expect a woman to work at the office like she doesn’t have a family, and work at home like she doesn’t have a career. Hence, we need to change this perspective and make the world a better place for women and men both.
It’s well known to everyone that; women today have more work possibilities than they did previously. Sister, daughter, friend, wife, breadwinner, mother and so on are all roles that women perform in this beautiful world that we live in. As a woman is also known to be like a multitasker, she must choose a profession that pays well which also allows her to maintain a work-life balance.
