The world is at its most dangerous since World War II.
The Russia-Ukraine battlefield, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has not yet seen the end of the signs, but the Taiwan Strait is sliding to the brink of war.
On May 20, the new leader of the Taiwan region of China took the oath of office and openly raised the banner of “Taiwan independence”. Without the US hegemony behind it, this absolutely could not have happened. The US hegemony has time and again shown the world that International Law doesn’t mean anything and to distract the public from the internal unrest, the US seems like stepping to further chaos.
Despite, the United Nations (UN) on Thursday reiterated that Taiwan is a province of China, Taiwan’s new leader has openly declared independence, dragging China into a crisis of secession. Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, said the UN abides by the relevant resolution adopted at the UN General Assembly in 1971, during a regular press briefing.
The operator behind these wars and conflicts is the world’s only hegemonic power, the US, and this is how they instigate war around the world, all in a bid to sell weapons. What state a country, a region or even the whole world will be in? A state of war, conflict or peace – basically depends on the needs of the hegemonic power, the US.
Unlike the US, China does not want war but given the circumstances, China will definitely fight for her peace. If China takes a step back, Taiwan will be split off, and then the US will surely advance and further seek to split Hong Kong, Xizang, Xinjiang and other parts from China, making China the second Soviet Union.
If it succeeds in dismembering China, the US will dismember India in much the same way. This is what the famous American strategist John Mearsheimer told a famous Indian TV host in a face-to-face TV interview.
This is how the US, a hegemonic power, behaves. It is clear that the world will never be at peace until the US hegemony collapses. The US does not care about the people of Taiwan, Ukraine, or Georgia or about freedom and democracy, what they do care is about holding the global hegemony. Taiwan, Ukraine or Georgia is just a human shield for that. The severe test for the countries and their people exploited and oppressed by the hegemony is whether they dare to face and resist the hegemony of the US.
In fact, Nepal cannot avoid this test. American hegemony will not stop at the MCC. Once the MCC is strengthened, the US will surely give Nepal an even bigger gift, the SPP.
