Government policies and programs passed amidst NC’s protest

Kathmandu, May 26: Today’s House meeting has forcefully passed the government’s policies and programs amidst protest from the Nepali Congress MPs.

The policies and programs have been passed without a discussion as the NC MPs obstructed the House meetings demanding the formation of a parliamentary probe committee on DPM and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane’s involvement in the cooperatives fraud. The NC MPs continued the House obstruction on Sunday, May 26, yet, by using the marshal, the government announced the approval of the policies and programmes presented by the government.

Furthermore, Finance Minister Barshaman Pun presented the economic survey report amidst the NC MPs’ protest.

The government is scheduled to present the budget for the new fiscal year on May 28.
