Recent reports state that the number of squatters in Kathmandu has increased by ten times compared to the past.
Of course, political parties are involved in the looting of the government coffer. The parties want to misuse the government land in the name of the settlement of the squatters. Those squatters have occupied valuable land in the Kathmandu Valley. They are calling their relatives to Kathmandu asking them to occupy the public land.
If the government continues to distribute land free of cost, the squatters will be a never-ending problem.
Along with the change of the government, a new committee on squatters will be constituted by providing salaries, allowances and other facilities. It has become a recruitment center for political workers.
We know, those squatters are fake and just to capture the government land, they have become squatters.
First of all, the government should identify the real squatters and it should give land or houses not at free of cost but taking the price of land. Of course, the government can give the facility of paying the price in instalments.
Don’t distribute land to those fake squatters.
An interesting battle
We don’t say that Rabi Lamichhane, DPM and Home Minister is clean. We cannot say that he was not involved in the cooperatives fraud scam.
We only appreciate him for disclosing the dual citizenship of media mafia Kailash Sihoriya. Lamichhane took the courage to disclose the citizenship issue of Sirohiya. Lamichhane has become a wounded tiger and if he gets a chance, he may surface many scandals in which the NC leaders are involved. After all, all are naked and all are involved in different scandals.
