Climber dies upon return from scaling Mt Makalu

Kathmandu, May 11: One climber returning after scaling Mt Makalu, the fifth tallest mountain in the globe, died on the way. 

Lhakpa Tenji Sherpa, 54, a resident of the Mahakulung Rural Municipality in Solukhumbu, died, confirmed the Sankuwasabha District Police Office. 

While returning from the summit, Sherpa was missing from the boundary of 2 and 3 of the Makalu Rural Municipality. His dead body was recovered from the Makalu Base Camp.
