NAC forms probe committee on delayed engine repairing

Kathmandu, May 10: The Nepal Airlines Corporation has formed a probe committee to investigate on delayed maintenance of the engine of the 9N-AKX narrow-body aircraft.

The meeting of the board of directors chaired by its executive chairman Ubraj Adhikari on May 5 constituted a five-member probe committee under board member and senior captain Sudhir Shumsher Rai.

The committee has been authorized to investigate delayed engine maintenance and also delayed delivery of the engine taken by NAC on lease. 

Earlier, the executive chairman had instructed to claim compensation for the delayed delivery violating the agreement between NAC and the engine maintenance company.
