Kathmandu, May 6: The Ashok Rai-led Janata Samajwadi Party, a splinter of the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal led by Upendra Yadav, has been registered at the Election Commission today. 

The Election Commission has registered the new party under Article 33 of the Political Party Act, 2017 and the Political Party Regulation, 2018”.

The election symbol of the newly born party is “fists”.
