Kathmandu, April 11: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bhupendra Bahadur Khatri, Chief of District Police Kathmandu, has said that the police have prepared a special security plan to operate the Thamel and Darbar Marg areas around the clock.
He said that a special security plan has been made to make Thamel and Darbarmarg operational in the ‘interaction related to drug addicts and cybercrime reduction’ organized by Community Service Center Tundal Devi, Maharajganj, and Maligaon police circles on Thursday.
“To open the Thamel and Darbarmarg area 24 hours, the police are conducting a thorough investigation of possible areas where crime may occur, Nepal Police will be required to make the market operational by increasing the manpower of the Nepal Police and Tourist Police,” he said.
Complex chief Khatri said that the incidence of drug abuse and cybercrime has recently increased across the country, including the capital Kathmandu, and Kathmandu police are working to control it.
