Kathmandu, April 9: AIG of Kathmandu Valley Police Office Deepak Thapa informed that 14 people of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) were injured and two people were taken into custody during the clash with the police during the demonstration, asking for a response on the 40-point memorandum submitted by the Party.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party chairman, Rajendra Lingden, after a massive suppression of the demonstration organized peacefully, said, “I would like to warn Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane, we will remember this day”.Lingden said while addressing a corner assembly after the demonstration, “From today, the resignation of the Home Minister will also be included in the demands put forward by the RPP”. “One point has been added to the 40 points from today”, Lingden said.
The RPP organized a massive demonstration today, attended by thousands of people supporting the constitutional monarchy and the Hindu religion. Due to the RPP demonstration, the entire Kathmandu faced heavy traffic jams today.
