The tug of war in the multibillion-dollar Arun project among the pro-Arun and ati-Arun groups is being waged by the intellectuals of the country.
Some in the anti-Arun group with big funds have reached Washington D.C. in an effort to convince the World Bank that it should not invest in such a project. This has raised questions about the pretty large amount of money that individuals in the anti-Arun lobby could find and spend.
It is learned that in the protest mission, several members also visited Germany, the Philippines and other countries apparently from their private purses.
