DPM and FM Shrestha leaving for China on Sunday

Kathmandu, March 23: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Nrayankaji Shrestha is leaving for China on Sunday, March 24, at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

DPM Shrestha is paying an official visit to China for nine days. 

Minister Shrestha is holding a meeting with Minister Yi on Tuesday, March 26 and is also scheduled to meet with senior Chinese leaders during his stay in Beijing. He is returning home on April 1. 

The Minister is also visiting Lhasa, Chengdu and Chongqing during his stay in China.

This is the first foreign visit of Minister Shrestha. There is the possibility of a bilateral agreement on the implementation of the previous agreements signed during the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Nepal and also Prime Minister Pushpakamal Dahal’s visit to China, say sources.
